Elaine Sigalet is the Director of Education at Sidra Research and Medical Center. Her clinical experience of 25 years resides in Pediatric Emergency Nursing. She holds a Masters in Nursing and PhD in Medical Education. Her expertise resides in Curricula Design for the Interprofessional Health Team and Patients and Family engaging a blended learning modality approach. She is the author of the KidSIM Team Performance Scale, published last year in Academic Medicine, and the KidSIM ATTITUDES Questionnaire published in Simulation Healthcare in 2012. She is a strong advocate for simulation based Interprofessional education; creating opportunities for employees to learn from, with and about each other as they learn institutional policies and Best Practice. She is internationally recognized for her contribution to supporting faculty development with optimizing simulation as a learning modality.
