Dr Nady Mohammed
MD, FACOG - Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology - Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar - Doha
Dr. Nady joined Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q) May 2006, as the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology clerkship for the inaugural class of WCMC-Q. He came from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was an Assistant Professor, and later appointed as Associate Residency Director and the Chief of Gynecological Surgery for RWJUH. Thereafter, he was the Medical Director and founding member of the Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Center. He taught residents and medical students at UMDNJ from 2000-2006. Dr. Nady began his career with Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center then moved to DOCS Ob/Gyn Group in New York in 1996.
Dr. Nady is a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and many other regional and international professional associations.
As a Consultant of Gynecological Surgery in Hamad Women’s Hospital, in addition to clinical teaching for residents and students, he is involved in all aspects of gynecological patient care as a senior consultant at the hospital. Currently, he has patient clinical services and operating time and is involved in several committees and research projects. Dr. Nady’s main clinical work focuses on gynecological and post-reproductive medicine and he is an advocate for introducing a minimally invasive surgery center as a first option in the management of various female disorders.
Since starting at WCMC-Q, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, most recently, the Humanism in Medicine Award, Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Senior List Award. In addition, Dr. Nady serves on several college committees and has patented several surgical instruments
