Professor Charles Kingsland

Charles Kingsland is Professor of Reproductive Medicine and a Consultant Gynecologist at the LiverpoolWomen’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. He is also a Lead Clinician for the Hewitt Fertility Centre, one of Britain’s largest IVF units which he founded in 1989.
Professor Kingsland qualified from Liverpool University in 1982 and was awarded his MD thesis in 1993.He trained in Reproductive Medicine under the mentorship of Professor Howard Jacobs at the Middlesex Hospital and Professor Robert Edwards at Bourne Hallam IVF centre before returning to the University of Liverpool as a lecturer in 1989.
It was there that he established a subspecialty programme in Reproductive Medicine in 1998 and more recently developed a Masters course in Advanced Fertility Practice for Nurses. He now has plans for further postgraduate courses in Andrology in Reproductive Medicine based on distance e-learning with clinical modules at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
Professor Kingsland is a Fellow and Council Member of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists.
